On Dec.12, 2003, State Councilor Chen Zhili and leaders from Ministry of Finance、Ministry of Science & Technology、Ministry of Education、Ministry of Construction and Ministry of Information & Industry, inspected Changhong. They thought highly of Changhong' efforts in successfully developing the Educational Projection TV and etc.

In Dec .2003, the construction of the first stock memorial museum of listed companies was completed in Changhong.

On Nov.20, 2003, the former President Ni Runfeng was honored as Image Messenger of China 2003 16th Asian International Stamp Exhibition. President Ni received warm welcome from Medias and the massive stamp-collecting friends. It was the first time that many famous entrepreneurs at home and abroad served as the Image Messengers.

On Oct.18, 2003, it was the 45th Anniversary of Sichuan Changhong Electronics Group Co., Ltd. Since the establishment in 1958, each economic indicator of Changhong has grown rapidly and achieved accumulating profits & taxes up to RMB 15 billion and turned over the state revenue up to RMB 5 billion. The net assets of Changhong has increased to RMB 14.2 billion in 2001, which was 350 times larger than that 0.04 billion in 2003. Up to 2003, the brand value of Changhong has increased to RMB 26.706 billion. Meanwhile, Changhong provided jobs for hundreds of thousands of people directly and indirectly. The headquarters in Mianyang provided about 30,000 jobs for the local people directly. Changhong has made great contributions to the economic construction and social stability of Mianyang and even the whole country.

On Oct.16, 2003, Guangdong Changhong was formed. So far, with the Mianyang headquarter as the core, Guangdong Changhong、Jiangsu Changhong and Jilin Changhong as the arcs, Changhong's Overall arrangement in umbrella type `,which had powerful radioactive influence, had basically completed.

On the first day of September 2004, Changhong DVD player was awarded the title of “Chinese Brand Product” by the Strategic Advanced Committee of China Brand Products.

On July.30, 2003, Changhong held a press conference focusing on demonstrating products of personality including Hotel TV and Internet TV and announced to engage in this line of business. It was reported that Changhong had become the first professional supplier of Hotel TV system.

In June.2003, in the evaluation list of the Listed Companies of the Shanghai Stock Exchange, Changhong had become one of the top 50 listed companies. Changhong had got this award for 5 consecutive years.

On Apr.25, 2003, Changhong portable DVD player came into the market. With the leading technology、tremendous scale and related group of industry, Changhong promoted 4.5 inch、5.8 inch、6.5 inch、7 inch、８inch、９inch and 15 inch portable DVD players, which broke the pattern of 5 powerful manufactures in the domestic market and created a new age of AV industry.

On Apr.25, 2003,, the first batch of Changhong DVB-S step on airplane on Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport to Iraq, just end war and full of business chances. Hence, Changhong became the first Chinese enterprises entering into Iraq market successfully after war.

On Apr.20, 2003, Changhong held a new press conference to promote the new series of HDTV and LCD series of 30 inch and 32 inch appraised as Chinese No.1 Display. This meant that the strategy of Changhong---Digital had made the preliminary achievements and also meant that the HDTV technology of China was on the way to the world's leading technology.

In Apr.2003, Changhong's HDTV series products became the first batch TVS to pass the check of National Supervision & Detection Center of the Quality of Broadcast TV.

On Mar.26, 2003, Changhong digital satellite receiver got the entering approval of the TV equipment from the State Administration of Radio Film and Television

On Mar.13, 2003, President and CEO Ni Runfeng was elected as the standing member of the Tenth National Committee of C.P.P.C.C.

On Mar.10, 2003, Changhong founded the first doctor team in the air-conditioner industry. On the same day, the new product King of Health and Quiet Sound came into market which lead the new conception of Chinese healthy consumption.

In Feb. 2003, President Ni Runfeng was awarded the Excellent Contribution Prize to the Development of the West, which was used to praise those who had made great contributions to the development of the west of China.
